Virginia Tech FSL

Rooted in community development, leadership, and strategic growth, the Virginia Tech Fraternity and Sorority Life office continues to foster an impactful and dynamic interfraternal experience. Together, we celebrate the achievements that reflect our commitment to excellence and our shared values.

Most Improved Chapter of the Year (2018)

Awarded to the chapter that shows outstanding growth in key areas like academics, recruitment, membership development, and chapter operations. â€‹

Ut Prosim Sorority Legacy Award (2023)

Rooted in the university motto Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) and the Principles of Community, students are encouraged to build connections that shape their values and guide their decisions as responsible citizens.  

​

Sorority Chapter of the Year (2024)

This award recognizes chapters that have demonstrated exception growth and impact through leadership, service, academic achievement, and member development, core values of the FSL community at Virginia Tech.

International Leadership Board

Rooted in leadership, mentorship, and community engagement, the International Leadership Board of alpha Kappa Delta Phi supports the growth and success of chapters across the nation. Their mission is to uphold the sorority's pillars by mentoring chapters, organizing leadership events, and fostering a strong, connected sisterhood. 


CEP 5-Star Model Chapter (2021 - 2022)
As the highest distinction within alpha Kappa Delta Phi's Chapter Excellence Program (CEP), this award honors chapters that excel in ten key areas, including leadership, scholarship, service, and cultural awareness. It signifies a chapter's strong commitment to the sorority's core values and significant role in fostering a strong sisterhood.

Vy Huynh - I.R.I.S. Award Recipient - Mid-Atlantic Region (Spring 2023)

The “In Recognition of Inspirational Sisterhood” (I.R.I.S.) award is intended to recognize a sister in your region that has displayed exceptional activism in the five pillars alpha Kappa Delta Phi stands for:

  • Leadership

  • Scholarship

  • Asian Awareness

  • Community Service

  • Sisterhood (at a chapter and regional level)

Anita Tso Philanthropy Award (2023 - 2024)​

The Anita Tso Philanthropy Award was first presented in 2001, and was started and named in honor of Jasmine Tso’s mother Anita, who passed away from breast cancer. The national philanthropy of alpha Kappa Delta Phi is Breast Cancer Awareness. This award recognizes one outstanding chapter a year who has not only surpassed other chapters in contributing to the fight against breast cancer, but also participated in numerous community service and volunteer activities consistently throughout the year.

Leadership

Our sisters continue to lead beyond the chapter by participating in selective sorority internship programs through the International Leadership Board. These opportunities allow them to gain professional experience and shape the future of alpha Kappa Delta Phi.
